Engagement Rate

What is Engagement Rate?
A measurement of how much interaction a post or advertisement garners relative to the total number of people who saw it, or had the opportunity to interact with it. (ER = Total Engagement / Total Reach).

Where should I find Engagement Rate?
Engagement Rate = Total Engagement divided by Total Reach. It’s also available in the Meta Business Suite’s Insights tools.

Why is Engagement Rate Important?
It’s a great measurement for evaluating how much a brand’s content is actually resonating with its audience; it judges how successful your content is at interacting with your audience and encourages them to go one step further through comments, reactions, shares, etc.

How to improve your Engagement Rate metric?
Tailor your content to your brand’s niche audience, choosing interactive formats that call for users to provide their own questions, answers, comments, or other types of engagement. Utilize appropriate hashtags and Facebook groups so that your niche can easily find your content, leading to a higher rate of engagement.

How frequently should I track this?
Track and log weekly, while also reporting analytics at least once a month.
